Welcome to 4NRg

4NRg is an R&D company that also offers its expertise on a contract or project basis to other organisations. Headed by two engineers, it houses a wealth of experience in a variety of engineering disciplines, in business and project management and in sales and marketing. In the last couple of years it has taken on a number of challenging projects, developed several renewable energy ideas for commercialisation and filed over a dozen patents.

Recent Projects

We are very proud of the work that has been carried out here in the last two and a half years. In addition to our own projects (which you will find on other pages of this web site) we have undertaken a number of projects for external partners and two recent ones in particular stand out:

Broads Authority

Being very low lying, the Broads are at increasing risk of inundation as global sea levels continue to rise. We have carried out some conceptual work for the Broads Authority to look at how strategically placed tidal barriers could help protect the Broads, and at the same time, help to fund themselves. Extremis is based in Norwich and focuses on engineering solutions to problems found when trying to help people who are the victims of natural or man-made disasters. 4NRg has helped them come up with novel solutions to the problem of transitional shelters, and ways in which they can be erected more swiftly and be better protected against further problems.
